📌 Overview
When someone is first booked into the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) system, there is a 60-day grace period during which anyone can send funds to them without being an approved depositor.
After those 60 days, only approved depositors can send money to the resident’s account.

To apply, follow the process outlined on the Florida DOC website:

📄 The application must be completed by the person who wishes to send funds. Approval is handled only by the Florida Department of Corrections.
❗ After the 60-Day Period
If you're no longer able to send funds, it's likely because:

The 60-day grace period has ended, and

You are not yet an approved depositor
Once the grace period expires, FDC blocks deposits from unapproved individuals.
💡 During the First 60 Days
You can send money without applying to be an approved depositor if the resident was booked less than 60 days ago.
You may use:

Online deposit portal

Phone (IVR) system

Money order or cashier’s check
Make sure to include the correct facility name and resident’s full name and ID number.

All depositor approvals are managed directly by the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC).
