What Is a Tech Account?
To message an inmate, some facilities require funds be added to a Tech Account — either yours (👤 Personal Tech Account) or the inmate’s (🏛️ Inmate Tech Account), or both.
⚠️ Important Info About Tech Account Funds
❌ Cannot be used for commissary, bonding, phone, or video visits.
❌ Are non-refundable and non-transferable — even if the inmate is released.
🔒 Funds are subject to facility review, denial, or message censorship.
🟢 To complete a deposit, you must select I AGREE when prompted.
🔴 Selecting DECLINE returns you to the main menu.
❓ Are Tech Account Deposits Refundable?
Tech Account deposits are generally non-refundable. Once funds are added to either a Personal or Inmate Tech Account, they cannot be transferred or returned.
However, in rare cases, management may approve a one-time refund. For example, if a large deposit (like $100) was accidentally made to a Personal Tech Account, you can contact your supervisor to request a review for a possible refund.

Your balance shows $0.00 unless you’ve made a Personal Tech Account deposit at certain facilities.
